What do you think are the most effective instructional strategies? Why?
I think the most effective instructional strategies are when the teacher engages the students.

One take away from the symposium is when the old woman talked at the end. She was talking about her interest with children and how she liked to observe them. She told a story of a little kid throwing dirt at another child and the mother told him to stop. The child did not stop, but instead did it when his mother wasnt looking.

AuthorI am Madison King and I am currently a junior at First Colonial High School. My dream is to become a high school teacher, and I am in the Virginia Teacher's for Tomorrow class. I cannot wait to be a future teacher. I love to play softball. Part of the reason why I love it is because it takes up most of my time. One of my favorite quotes is "live like you were dying". This quote has significance to me because I live everyday like its my last because ill never know when I will die and I want to live life to it's fullest. I want to build a strong relationship with my students so that they can come to me and feel comfortable with talking to me about anything, sort of like what Mrs. Frierman does with our class.
